Route 1: Take Highway 4 (Phetkasem) which passes through Nakhon Chaisi and Nakhon Pathom Provences, and through Ban Pong Tha Maka and Tha Maung, to Kanchanaburi. Travel time is approximately 2hrs, depending on traffic conditions
Route 2: Take Highway 338 from Bangkok to Nakhon Chaisi Province. then take Highway 4, straight through to Kanchanaburi.
By Bus
Non Air-con buses leave Bangkok Southern Terminal, every 15mins daily. for a timetable or information Tel: 02 434 5557-8. Travel Time is 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions

There are frequent daily buses leaving Nakhon Pathom for Kranchanaburi,Travel Time about 1.5hrs
Several Buses leave both Ratchaburi and Suphan Buri, Bus Stations for Kanchanaburi on a daily bases, some are direct with a journey time of 2.5-3hrs.
By Train
Ordinary trains leave Bangkok Thon Buri Station ( Noi Station) daily, Only 3rd class seating is avialable, Journey time is 3 hrs, for information call Thon Buri Railway Station, Tel : 02 411 3102 or Kranchanaburi Railway Station, Tel: 034 5111 285
There is a Week-end special train that operates Sturdays, Sundays and most Public Holidays, Leaving from Bangkok Station, Hua Lamphong at 6.30am, returning 7.55pm, the trip includes several stop-overs at Phra Pathom Chedi, Death Railway Bridge, and Phrasat Mueang Singh Historical Park, ( via Minibus Transfer
There is also Special Steam Trains that operate between Kanchanaburi and Wong Pho.
