Ko Chang is developing very fast, the road running around the island is now tarmaced and more developed, the main form of transport for local residents is still the trusted motorcycle/moped.
For the tourist, its easy to travel by either metered taxi or baht taxi (songthaews) the later being much cheaper, there are a few motorcycle taxi's avialable if you wish to venture off the main ring road and view some of the island nature spots, but be aware, motorcycle taxi's can take the form of a white kuckle ride!
