Most places foreigners go to are actually located either near Silom Road, on Sukhumvit Road or between Siam Square and the World Trade Centre. With a range from classical dance to techno parties, there's always something happening. They also have restaurants, food stalls and night markets selling fake goods. Bars generally stay open till late, if not all night, and nightclubs usually get underway around 23:00. By law, all bars and clubs are supposed to close at 1 or 2 am (2 am for places offering dance floors and live music). The reality is quite different, however, as any visitor to the city will quickly find out.
