Getting Married in Thailand
Thailand is now becoming a very popular destination for couples who are looking for a special wedding day, Thailand offers some of the most spectacular, and romantic scenery in the world, Islands such as Koh Samui, Koh Phi Phi. Koh Pang Nang and Koh Chang are Tropical paradise venues, with breathtaking beaches, also the Northern area’s of the country can provide a mystical and even spiritual location, one thing for sure getting married in Thailand, will offer you a life experience and a wedding to remember.
For a Non-Thai couple there are very few legal formalities, a wedding can be arranged easily and will be inexpensive.You can choose from a traditional Thai wedding conducted under Buddhist Traditions , or if you prefer a Christian ceremony this can be arranged, but note that Buddhist marriage is only ever held indoors, so it is not possible to hold a traditional Thai wedding on the beach or other exterior location.
It is a requirement that the marriage have legal registration, this can be done at any District office in Thailand, and any working day.
